Children's NyQuil was specially formulated with three effective ingredients to relieve nighttime cough, nasal congestion, and runny nose so children can rest. Children's NyQuil® is alcohol free and analgesic free and has a pleasant cherry flavor.

Uses: Temporarily relieves cold symptoms:


Active ingredients (per tablespoon): Purpose:
Chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg .................................... Antihistamine
Dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg ............................. Cough suppressant
Pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg ............................... Nasal decongestant

Inactive Ingredients:

Citric Acid, Flavor, Potassium Sorbate, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water, Red 40, Sodium Citrate, Sucrose.

Sodium Content: 160 mg per 30 ml dose.

Directions:


use tablespoon (TBSP) or dose cup under 6 yrs ......... ask a doctor
6-11 yrs .............................................................. 1 TBSP or 15 ml
12 yrs. & older .........................................................2 TBSP 30 ml
Repeat every 6 hours, not to exceed 4 doses per day.

Warnings:

Do not use

if you are on a sodium-restricted diet
if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson' disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.

Ask a doctor before use if you have:

heart disease
asthma
emphysema
thyroid disease
diabetes
glaucoma
high blood pressure
excessive phlegm (mucus)
breathing problems
chronic bronchitis
persistent or chronic cough
cough associated with smoking
trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers.

When using this product:

do not use more than directed
excitability may occur, especially in children
drowsiness may occur
avoid alcoholic drinks
be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery
alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness

Stop use and ask a doctor if:

you get nervous, dizzy or sleepless
new symptoms occur
you need to use more than 7 days
symptoms do not get better within 7 days or accompanied by a fever
cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or headache that lasts.

These could be the signs of a serious condition.

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Quick medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
